-AUTHOR/WRITER/JOURNALIST-
"Why dance to a universal tune and compete for the unattainable when beating your own drum and dancing to the music of your choice is the epitome of self-actualization?"
Ann Marie Lynch

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Born In Port of Spain, Trinidad in the early years of Independence, Ann Marie benefited from the best of the then co-mingling worlds. The end of the Colonial era with all its attendant pomp and ceremony and the birth of a vibrant new nation, rich in natural resources and bursting with promise, saw Trinidad and Tobago take its place at the helm of the Caribbean, as one of , if not 'the wealthiest' nation in the region.
Even though she was the seventh of eight children, Ann Marie grew up with books and novels as her constant companions. To this day, she still claims the greatest gift she ever received as her 10th Birthday present, a ten-volume set of "Uncle Arthur's Bedtime Stories."
She freely confesses her old fashioned nature and declares a severe addiction to the historical works of any genre, but specifically writings of the Victorian era. A lover of the works of Chinua Achebe, Thomas Hardy and Charles Dickens, Ann Marie's writing nevertheless imbibes her own particular style and flavour.
She is a past pupil of the Bishop Anstey High School in Trinidad and Tobago and a graduate of University of Hull where she earned a BSc. in Business Management and a Masters Degree in Communications. Many years later, unsatisfied with the rat race, she gave in to the internal urging of her great love for writing and decided to follow her dream......she made a clean break from the corporate world in 2011 and decided to "pick up the pen" on a full time basis.
As a mother, she now encourages her children to not just think outside the box, but to discard the box completely and follow their hearts wherever that may lead.
".......True fulfilment does not need to make you rich, it just needs to make you satisfied........ after all, doing what one truly loves and living YOUR dream, not the one society dictates is the only thing that really matters."
