ENDING THE LONG SLEEP
The Civil Rights movement that ended school segregation in the 1960's also resulted in the death of one of its main proponents, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Since then we have had the Black Power movement, Affirmative Action and Rights for Native Peoples of the world......All of this has resulted in a society that is more racially polarized than ever... so much for equal rights.
In the last 10 years we have seen that the generation of people of colour awaken who are actively seeking out their spiritual roots, are not afraid to wear their hair in its natural state, not afraid to speak out and are unapologetic for the way they were born....after all, why should they be?

This generation will slash and re-open the racist scars, remove the untidy stitching and refuse to take no for an answer. It has taken 400 years, but we will take our place on the world's stage. You see they thought they had buried our forefathers, little realizing that they were simply seeds... we are the fruit of their toil and remaining in a stupor is not even an option.
